GHRP-2

GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide and a second-generation growth hormone secretagogue. It's more potent than GHRP-6, producing stronger GH release while causing less hunger stimulation. Like other GHRPs, it works by mimicking ghrelin and binding to the GHS-R1a receptor in the pituitary and hypothalamus, but with greater efficacy and selectivity. GHRP-2 triggers a significant pulse of growth hormone release, leading to increased muscle mass, enhanced fat loss, improved recovery, and better sleep quality. Compared to GHRP-6, it offers more potent GH stimulation with fewer side effects, though it still may cause some increases in cortisol and prolactin. It has a relatively short half-life of about 20 minutes, requiring multiple daily administrations for optimal results. GHRP-2 is typically combined with GHRH analogs like CJC-1295 for synergistic effects on GH release patterns and amplitudes.
